Write for us
We welcome clear, original ideas about how young people begin sport, develop skills, practise, play together and experience participation. A strong contribution helps readers notice something specific without turning a personal preference into a rule for every young athlete.
What we are looking for
Useful pitches may explain a sport-learning idea, compare different ways to structure a session, explore a custom or moment in youth sport, or help readers think through a common misconception. We value concrete examples, careful language and a respectful view of young people as individuals. We do not seek medical advice, guaranteed performance claims or stories that expose a young person's private details.
Make the pitch specific
Tell us the working subject, the main point readers will take away and why it suits Rising Athletes Stories. A brief outline is helpful, as is a note about the experience or material informing the idea. Please distinguish what you know from what you infer, and flag any conflicts of interest.
How to send it
Send your proposal through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then explain that you are pitching a contribution. A proposal is not a guarantee of publication. Please do not include sensitive personal information about a child in an initial pitch.
Progress can begin with play
Young athletes grow through patient practice, room to explore and people who make sport feel worth returning to.
